Evergreen Educational Center is almost complete! This will be a restoration center providing counseling, education, vocational training, and life skills for children and teens who have been rescued from trafficking, runaways, and other vulnerable groups. The CEO of the construction company, which is one of the oldest and largest in Korea, read Justice Awakening and was convicted to join the fight for justice in Korea. As a result, he donated the services of his company (of over $3 million) to build this center for free ... in order to set the captives free. What an amazing testimony of God moving in people's hearts to pursue the passions of His own heart.
As of now, the center needs a remaining $40,000 for equipment, furniture, and other necessary supplies in order to prepare for the center's opening (hopefully by the end of June). Please join us in praying for the remaining funds.
And if you or your church feel led to give, you can send a donation to Hope Be Restored:
In Korea: Hana Bank: 573-910013-48605
In the USA or through credit card: http://give.footstool.org/hbr
* Note: after donating, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know the amount given to "Project Evergreen"
If you're in New York City, please join the rally in Times Square on Wed June 8th at 10:30am to ask Hershey's to use Fair Trade practices in its supply chain so that all the workers would receive fair wages and be free to work (not forced to). Also, many young children are enslaved to collect cocoa beans throughout the chocolate industry. Let's do what we can to bring a change to that today.
We'll be writing about quick news, updates and happenings through this blog.
