• There has been a rise in Online Sexual Exploitation of Children (OSEC) in Cebu
• In this kind of cyber sex trafficking, the victims are often much younger such as infants and toddlers, which creates more complex physical, emotional and psychological harm to their victims.
• The Philippine National Police (PNP) and Women and Children Protection Center Field Unit have reported that from 2016 to early part of 2018 …
• 80 victims of OSEC that have been rescued from their perpetrators in the Metro Cebu area. Of this number, 90% are minors.
• The most poignant part, however, is the breakdown of the minor victims: ​​

• They were victims of human trafficking, cyber sex-trafficking, online porn, regular porn, and forced prostitution
